Snow Update #7

Posted by on November 11, 2014

Temperatures have been cold up on the Hurley & driving conditions are generally good with some icy sections up at the summit depending on the time of the day.   Thanks to Noel Piper & Lisa Wagner for sending in a photo and also to Margaret & Bradley for sending in another photo.  Please read the comments section for more updates from regular Hurley driver Debbie Demare.

Drivers should be prepared for all driving conditions.  Winter driving skills, 4 x4 and good snow tires are essential for travel at this time of the year.  Chains and a survival/safety kit are good things to carry in your truck.   Conditions can change fast at anytime up there & current conditions may not be reported on this site.    This site is user updated so if you have conditions to report please email info@bridgerivervalley.ca

Wednesday, November 12. 4 pm. Still just as amazingly spectacular as it was at 8 am. The compact at the top for about 3 km is compact and a tinsy slippery, pay attention and you’ll be fine. -3 on Pembie side of summit, -6 on Gold Bridge side of summit. Saw a wolf hanging on the road. Nothing like that sort of ride home from work.

Wednesday, November 12. 8 am, minus 13, summit section mostly frozen compact. Beeeautiful morning. Watch out for some icy spots where water has been running across road down lower. Minus 3 in Pemberton Valley.
