No reports yet on what condition the Hurley is in after the storm yesterday. From what we can see through the clouds today, it looks like the freezing level did rise and icy conditions are possible.
If you choose to drive the Hurley at this time of the year be prepared to experience all kinds of weather and winter driving conditions. Winter driving skills, 4 x4, chains and good snow tires are essential for travel at this time of the year. A survival/safety kit are good things to carry in your truck. Apparently there were about 5 stuck trucks today and the snowcat couldn’t get passed
