The Hurley is being graded and the grader is working from the Pemberton side and as of last night was at the 6km marker. Thanks to Randy Perazzo for the update.
The East Hurley avalanche site has been cleared. The large culvert which periodically washes out (near the Interwest logging site from 2 years ago) is fine at the moment. The small culvert crossing 1km in from the steel bridge was blocked last fall and flooded the road. It has now been cleared out and the road bed raised and it’s flowing as it should be. Interior Road and Ministry of Transportation have been notified that the road needs to be graded and other basic maintenance to occur. This request will be followed up on.
