It’s getting to that time of the year where the Hurley is closed for most drivers and only the people fully prepared for deep snow and self rescue should be driving. More snow is in the forecast for tonight.
Thanks to Tennyson for an update from 6am today driving with studded 35″ winter tires. Snow starts at 6km on the Pemberton side. The snow at the summit is deep and gets deeper on the north side to Face Mt area. Driving conditions are spicy and one lane only. Passing another vehicle will be challenging.
This site is user maintained so keep the emails coming to info@bridgerivervalley.ca. Thanks to everyone who has sent in photos and updates this year.
If you choose to drive the Hurley at this time of the year be prepared to experience all kinds of weather and winter driving conditions. Winter driving skills, 4×4, chains and good snow tires are essential for travel. A survival/safety kit are good things to carry in your truck. Conditions can change fast at anytime up there with the fluctuating temperatures & weather. Current conditions may not be reported on this site.
