Thanks to Dave Robinson for this Hurley update and photos.
BRV to Pemberton around 2pm, lifted Tacoma with good tires and didn’t use chains. Icy sections on the plowed bit to the Hurley East junction. Single set of tracks the whole way, getting deep near the summit. Rough bits and sometimes easy to get off line into the deeper stuff. Thaw/freeze making things more interesting. Definite signs of struggle and sporty near the top, needed to keep the momentum up. Summit to Tenquille turnoff single lane and getting down to dirt, smooth ride from there.

Hey any updates on the Hurley since Nov 19? There’s a comment I posted earlier this week but I cannot see it…
Drove up Nov. 25 at about 2:30pm. Pmby to BRV. All good until the tenquille turn off. The snow starts about there and it starts to get icy as you climb Single track and and very deep as you progress to the summit. Very sloppy at the top and lots of sketchy parts, due to vehicles(side by sides) going off the track. Very easy to get tossed around. I went up in my old tacoma with no chains and not the greatest of tires. Just squeaked by and made it but it was a bit tense and hectic. Would not attempt again without chains (unless they magically plowed it!) The 2 guys before me told me they got stuck for over an hour as they slipped off the main single track. I got lucky and encountered nobody, it would probably had been a different story if I d met anyone on their way out. If you attempt it, be careful, cautious and pack accordingly. Sorry no pics, I didn’t let off the gas to stop, but like I said, getting deep and lots of potholes and slippery sections.
Has anyone driven the Hurley in the last few days? Any sense of whether conditions have changed since this Nov 19 report? Thinking that the tracks near the summit may have had some freeze/thaw occurring but I’d love to hear from anyone before I head over on Friday.
