In 2002 the SLRD & BRVEDS commissioned Urban Systems, a Kamloops consulting company to conduct a cost benefit assessment of the Hurley River Road and how it impacts the communities around it. There is a lot of interesting information in the report and anyone who drives the Hurley on a regular basis should take the time to read it. The PDF file is linked below.

Pave the hurly?? No wait let’s just save the hurly !
SAVE THE HURLY! Maintain it maintain the investment of resurfacing that has been done. Spend money on maintenance and hold contractors accountable. Plowing open a road to drive a unmaintained road a week early is a bad investment.
what has come of this report? is there ever any discussion about paving the hurley?
