{"id":14,"date":"2011-10-16T10:37:16","date_gmt":"2011-10-16T17:37:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/isurvivedthehurley.com\/?page_id=14"},"modified":"2024-04-27T22:37:33","modified_gmt":"2024-04-28T05:37:33","slug":"about-the-hurley-road","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/isurvivedthehurley.com\/?page_id=14","title":{"rendered":"About the Hurley Wilderness Road"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Hurley River Wilderness Road connects the community of the Bridge River Valley with the Pemberton Valley.\u00a0 It is also the most direct route for property owners and recreational users to the Bridge River Valley.\u00a0\u00a0 A 4 hour drive from Vancouver, 3hr from Whistler &amp; 2hr from Pemberton at a leisurely pace.\u00a0 No services or cell range after Pemberton.\u00a0 The Hurley River Road is part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hellobc.com\/driving-routes\/74\/duffey-lake-hurley-river-road-loop.aspx\">Duffey Lake \/ Hurley River Scenic Loop<\/a> and is a spectacular drive.\u00a0 Information about the Bridge River Valley can be found on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bridgerivervalley.ca\">www.BridgeRiverValley.ca<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Hurley River Road is open to vehicle traffic in the summer months only, usually from June &#8211; October.\u00a0 It is maintained to a wilderness standard that deters most 2wd vehicles.\u00a0\u00a0 It&#8217;s a wild ride you will never forget and the scenery is breathtaking! \u00a0The Hurley is a 74km rough dirt road which starts at the end of the Pemberton Meadows.\u00a0 After crossing the Lillooet River, the Hurley climbs over Railroad Pass (4, 500ft) and down to Gold Bridge or Bralorne.\u00a0 Expect mountain driving conditions.\u00a0 Drive with your headlights on and use caution. Watch for oncoming traffic and wildlife.
