Winter is here and there is lots of snow up on the Hurley for snowmobiling!\u00a0\u00a0 Snowmobiles have been sledding from 16km on the Pemberton side to Bralorne<\/a> and the Mineshaft Pub has had several groups of sledders coming over for lunch already.\u00a0 Congratulations to Chuck and Beau who were the first sledders over this year!<\/p>\n

Backcountry Snowcats<\/a> have received 35cm in the last 24hrs and are gearing up for an early start to their season!\u00a0 Thanks to Kathy and Reg for maintaining\u00a0 a clearing for sledders to park their trucks on the Pemberton side and for the awesome grooming they do that we all benefit from.\u00a0 Please show your respect and stay off their tenure area around Hope Creek.<\/p>\n

Hazelwood Construction are still working up at the Jamie Creek IPP and will be removing snow on the first few km of the Hurley to the Bridge Main.\u00a0 They will be plowing the road but will leave some snow on the side for sled traffic.\u00a0 Please check back for snow removal updates.<\/p>\n

Squamish Lillooet Regional District Area A Director Debbie Demare<\/a> recently sent a letter to Interior Roads regarding summer maintenance on the Hurley to create a safe wilderness road.\u00a0 Thank you to Debbie for staying on top of this topic.<\/p>\n
