Lots of people have noticed the new signs and information kiosk on the Hurley.\u00a0 New signs include the Wildlife Management Unit ID, No Moose\/Elk and Grizzly Hunting sign and MOT\/Interior Roads signs.\u00a0\u00a0 The new information kiosk is one of 4 Gateway Kiosks<\/a> placed in and around the Bridge River Valley to provide maps and other local information for visitors to the area.\u00a0\u00a0 The kiosk has been put in place but the map and information content is still to come.\u00a0 Look for it at the East Hurley split next summer and stop to take a look!\u00a0 Some older, hard to read signage is being removed.<\/p>\n

The Hurley is closed to most vehicle traffic.\u00a0 Winter driving conditions are now in effect on the Hurley Road and you should only attempt to drive the Hurley\u00a0 if you are prepared and experienced. \u00a0\u00a0 If you make the choice to drive the Hurley make sure you are prepared with Winter driving skills, 4 x4 truck\u00a0 and good winter tires are essential for travel at this time of the year.\u00a0 Chains and a survival\/safety kit are good things to carry in your truck.\u00a0 Be prepared for self rescue!\u00a0 Conditions can change at anytime up there.\u00a0\u00a0 Last report 30cm of snow at the top with slippery conditions.\u00a0\u00a0 Most people should consider taking the alternate route to the Bridge River Valley via Lillooet and Road 40.\u00a0 It’s a beautiful scenic drive so take your time and enjoy the drive!<\/p>\n
