{"id":1389,"date":"2014-06-11T06:44:43","date_gmt":"2014-06-11T13:44:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/isurvivedthehurley.com\/?p=1389"},"modified":"2014-06-14T15:40:26","modified_gmt":"2014-06-14T22:40:26","slug":"hurley-opening-conditions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/isurvivedthehurley.com\/?p=1389","title":{"rendered":"Hurley Opening Conditions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>UPDATE:\u00a0 The closed sign still says Closed and MOT has been contacted to unlock the sign into the Open position.\u00a0\u00a0 The grading has been completed and the operator took a pass on the Squamish side but it was challenging as there is not much material to work with.\u00a0\u00a0 Reports in from Hurley users put the road in fairly good shape from the Summit to Gold Bridge.<\/p>\n<p>The Hurley opened on Monday afternoon which was earlier than the predicted Friday opening.\u00a0 Thank you to the MOF grader for getting it done so quickly!<\/p>\n<p>Road up the Pemberton switchbacks same as usual. Just other side of summit has been graded and the road is in GREAT shape all the way to Gold Bridge.<\/p>\n<p>You can see grader has been working hard on some of the nastier potholes.<\/p>\n<p>Hill down into Gold Bridge washboarding and Boralex (who is responsible for that part of the road) has been notified.<\/p>\n<p>Easy 3.5 hr drive from North Vancouver to Gun Lake yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Very very dry up there, no snow\u00a0 just the small patches at the summit . The grader is still sitting up there .\u00a0 Summit area has not yet been graded.<\/p>\n<p>There is a tree\/rock debris slide on the E. Hurley about 8 kms from Bralorne.\u00a0 It is passable if carefully navigated.\u00a0 Followups to Ministry to get a machine<br \/>\nIn there to clear out are underway.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you to <a
