The Hurley Is NOT affected.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday a fire west of the Hurley caused smokey conditions on the road.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/bcwildfire.ca\/hprScripts\/WildfireNews\/Fires.asp?Mode=normal&amp;AllFires=0&amp;FC=2\" target=\"_blank\">bcwildfire.ca<\/a> is reporting a fire in that area at\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mapquest.ca\/?le=t&amp;q=50.67865%2C-123.3676333&amp;zoom=6&amp;vs=\" target=\"_blank\">Boulder Creek<\/a>\u00a0 to be 250 ha in size.\u00a0 Air support was attacking the fire late Thursday.\u00a0 Smoke from this fire drifted into the Bridge River Valley on Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>To report a wildfire\u00a0 call toll-free <span style=\"color: red;\">1 800 663 5555 <\/span>or <span style=\"color: red;\">*5555<\/span> on most cellular networks (this won&#8217;t work on the Hurley!)<\/p>\n<p>UPDATE:<\/p>\n<p>A Declaration of Local Emergency for SLRD Electoral Area C, implemented to support a WMB request for an evacuation order on Boulder Creek Fire V30241. The evacuation order applies to both sides of the Upper Lillooet FSR\u00a0 from 9 km to the top of the Pemberton Valley (in effect, Upper Lillooet Provincial Park).<\/p>\n<p>The evacuation order applies to the 2 pumice mines in the area (1 currently not operational \u2013 the other, Garibaldi Pumice, was contacted directly, and principal operator Bob Matheson may elect to stay in and look after his equipment) and the Innergex IPP at Boulder Creek. No residential or agricultural properties are currently under evacuation order. Some Innergex contractors will remain at their location under the direct authority of the WMB Incident Commander.\u00a0 The Hurley Is NOT affected.\u00a0 More information can be found on the <a
