Be safe out there everyone!<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow a pineapple express is moving in and a widespread avalanche cycle is expected. Weather models are in agreement on the temperatures but conflicting in amounts of rain. It will rain 40-80 mm up to about 2500m in the Bridge Valley starting tomorrow morning. The hazard will steadily increase and peak around 8pm on Wednesday. It will probably pass by the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>If the weather plays out as forecast the hazard in the backcountry will be HIGH by late tomorrow and EXTREME on Wednesday at Treeline and in the Alpine. Large avalanches are expected to reach valley bottom and could affect several roads throughout the Gold Bridge area including, Noel, Cadwallader, Hurley (east and west), Hope, Lone Goat, Donnelly, Bridge, Slim and into the South Chilcotins.<\/p>\n<p>Flooding, washouts and debris flows are possible as well, especially further south.<\/p>\n<p>Avalanche Canada will start forecasting for the Coast mountains on Thursday\u00a0Nov 23.<\/p>\n<p>Please take care out there and don\u2019t travel unless you have to. Let someone know where you are going and when you expect to be there. Thanks to Pat Mulroony for this update and photo: Drove the Hurley at 7pm from Pemberton. Plowed to Hope Creek with about 10cms on the surface. Not plowed to East Hurley junction but many trucks created good ruts. Passing would be difficult. After about 4km from the East Hurley it was plowed again down to Gold Bridge. We drove a Tacoma with nokian snow tires.<\/p>\n<p>If you choose to drive the Hurley at this time of the year, you may be sharing the road with logging trucks and other heavy machinery.
