The Hurley is really rough right now with washboards and huge potholes.\u00a0 A grader, water truck, & pack will be working from the Pemberton end of the Hurley.\u00a0 This is planned for next week.\u00a0\u00a0 They will touch up the switchbacks and grade up the road for approximately 7 days.\u00a0 Expect to see crews and potentially flag people and please drive slow and give them space.<\/p>\n

The Lillooet River FSR has been reported to have many and large potholes.\u00a0 This is a different office than the Hurley, can you please email your concerns to Malcolm Schulz. 604 898-2139,\u00a0Malcolm.Schulz@gov.bc.ca.<\/p>\n

The Hope Creek to Gwenyth Lake section also has some sections with potholing.\u00a0 This section is currently under an industrial user, Interwest Timber Ltd.\u00a0 FLNRO officials have advised them that it needs to be graded.<\/p>\n

If you choose to drive the Hurley at this time of the year be prepared to experience all kinds of weather and winter driving conditions.\u00a0 Winter driving skills, 4×4, chains and good snow tires are essential for travel.\u00a0 A survival\/safety kit are good things to carry in your truck.\u00a0\u00a0 Conditions can change fast at anytime up there with the fluctuating temperatures & weather.\u00a0 Current conditions may not be reported on this site.\u00a0 Have a safe drive!<\/p>\n
