I came from Pemberton to Bralorne. It went from 3cm to 45cm in like 150ft. 3kms of super slippery underneath, deeper than expected, powdery snow. It was sketchy even with chains and 4×4 truck. I absolutely did not stop to take a picture! If you are going be sure to have a rescue person planned, definitely chains, 4×4 truck, and the regular winter preparedness. I have driven it with chains and more snow than that before but it was surprisingly tricky tonight.

Around Hope Creek I had the chains off and was relaxed at moderate speed and BOOM….. a black ice 270 spin out added to the evening.

Chain up early, drive slow. Watch out.

It’s definitely proceed with caution and preparedness time, not sure how many more days we will get.

Nice to meet Bret, Ashley, and the Pemberton trucks man, thanks for breaking trail! I made it to my goodnight beer and warm bed without an epic – but it was close. ?

This site is based on Hurley driver updates so please email new road conditions to info@bridgerivervalley.ca or post in the comments below.

If you choose to drive the Hurley at this time of the year be prepared to experience all kinds of weather and winter driving conditions. Winter driving skills, 4×4, chains and good snow tires are essential for travel. A survival/safety kit are good things to carry in your truck. Conditions can change fast at anytime up there with the fluctuating temperatures & weather. Current conditions may not be reported on this site. Have a safe drive!

Support this website and order your Hurley t-shirts, new oval bumper stickers, can coolers & trucker hats in 3 colours – green/white, black/gold, pink/grey Click here to purchase Hurley merchandise. Thank you for your road updates and support.

Thanks to Heather Roberts for the latest update, sounds like things are getting sketchy up there!
