Truck on Fire at the Summit of the Hurley FSR. Our son and grandkids were travelling home over the Hurley and he phoned once he got to cell service and said that there is a truck engulfed in fire at the summit of the Hurley. Lots of people there but nothing they could do. We phoned the BC Wildfire Service at 2:10 pm and gave the co ordinates and info. Thanks to the people who stopped to help with shovels and fire extinguishers. Blackcomb Helicopters sent a machine with a bucket up to assist and a crew from Bralorne with a portable water tank and pump went up to help. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A reminder that active hauling is ongoing. Travellers on the lower part of the Hurley FSR should be cautious and expect loaded and unloaded logging trucks travelling in both directions up to the Bridge Main FSR turnoff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
