I had been in discussion with the Sea to Sky and Cascades Forest District’s regarding grading the Hurley and the Lillooet FSR as they were both in need of it dearly. The plan was that the Hurley FSR Contractor was going to grade the Hurley and then grade the Lillooet FSR when they got down that far. There was also talk of around $8,000 worth of road bed material for the Lillooet FSR in the bad sections. On October the 4th I drove the Lillooet FSR on my way to Vancouver and saw it being graded. On October 6th I came home and the road had been graded and the bad sections were already getting pounded out! I finally found out that it was the Pumice Mine farther down the Lillooet FSR that had contracted out the a grader and operator to grade the Lillooet FSR. The reason they did this was that the road was in very poor shape for the Pumice transport trucks.
The pictures are from our trip home from Vancouver on October 23rd and as you can see it is right back to where it was before the grading earlier in October before the grading.
I will be sending these and more pictures of the Lillooet FSR to both the Sea to Sky and Cascades Forest District’s so they know what it looks like and that it really needs road bed material, grading and compacted.

Lillooet River FSR potholes

Bridge River Mechanical will be starting to work on the Hurley starting this week and there will be active heavy equipment till the end of October so please be aware and slow down when approaching them.

This site is user maintained so keep the emails coming to
info@bridgerivervalley.ca.
