Rain in the valley last night and may have fallen as snow on the Hurley. Too many clouds this morning to see the snow line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to Chuck for this report: Came down the Hurley from Bralorne via the East Hurley on Sunday, Oct 24. East Hurley was in decent shape as it has been most of the year.\u00a0
The main Hurley from the steel bridge to up and over the summit, down the big hill and all the way down the switch backs is in better shape then when I last traveled it on Oct 14th. It is still a little rough in sections but better than before.\u00a0
By far, THE\u00a0roughest section of the entire trip is the Lillooet\u00a0FSR. When I came up to the BRV on the 14th the Lillooet FSR was in great shape having just been graded some time before that. Since then a number of pot holes have reappeared\u00a0and it is again getting rough.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to Mandy Jensen for this report and photo: Quick update on the Hurley, we just crossed it this afternoon Sunday Oct 24th. It is pretty bumpy definitely not in the best shape, snow mixed with rain at the summit, road is completely clear. As usual the Pemberton side of things are the worst, took 2 hrs to cross pulling a flat deck with side by side and quad on it due to the road condition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bridge River Mechanical will be starting to work on the Hurley starting this week and there will be active heavy equipment till the end of October so please be aware and slow down when approaching them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you choose to drive the Hurley at this time of the year be prepared to experience all kinds of weather and winter driving conditions.  Winter driving skills, 4\u00d74, chains and good snow tires are essential for travel.  A survival\/safety kit are good things to carry in your truck.   Conditions can change fast at anytime up there with the fluctuating temperatures & weather.  Current conditions may not be reported on this site.  Have a safe drive!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
