Update May 11<\/strong> – Dozer moved today to Hope creek. Snow starts at Donnley Creek. Will start plowing Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to Sal DeMare for submitting the latest opening update from BJ Moore, Cascades District Engineering Officer. Further updates will be posted as they come in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Good morning. We\u2019ve received another update from the avalanche tech and it is good news. Most of the threat has subsided and by next week it will be safe to work\/travel under the Green Mtn tract. Our contractor has other obligations until later next week, but plans on starting the plowing as soon as he can. From the reports of the amount of snow on the FSR, it should be plowed quickly and not take long to open. I would say that the Hurley will be open before the long weekend easily and potentially a few days before. I\u2019ll let you know when the plowing starts and provide updates when I receive them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
