August 28 Update

Posted by on August 28, 2020

Thanks to Kathy from Backcountry Snowcats for the latest Hurley update.

The road has been narrowed between the new zero (Railroad Creek Bridge valley floor) and Hope Creek turn off due to the dirt piles. They have re-ditched it and left the dirt piles. Past the Hope turnoff, I don’t know as I haven’t been your way since spring. They have brushed a lot of it but not all. There used to be a 60km speed sign at this end a couple years ago but it has been taken down. Personally we’ve had some close calls and nearly everyone I talk to has also mentioned the speeds some idiots are driving. There was a rollover a few weeks ago just before the old 13km switchback.

Please slow down and take your time driving for the safety of everyone.
