We are calling the Hurley closed for the winter season. The valley received an additional 10cm plus last night and 20cm is forecast for tomorrow. It’s that time of the year and the snow on the Hurley has reached the point where it is too deep for vehicles. Around the Face Mt area, which is before the summit, 40cm of new snow has fallen on top of what was already there. Trucks with chains & 4wd were turned around today and no one has made it over. Thanks to Leah for the update. Please be aware that the signs may still say OPEN!
Have a good winter sledding on the Hurley and always check the avalanche bulletin before heading out.
This site is user maintained so keep the emails coming to info@bridgerivervalley.ca. Thanks to everyone who has sent in photos and updates this year.

The sign says open but the road is closed to vehicles. There is 1.4m of snow at the summit.
I saw the Hurley sign said “OPEN” today on the goldbridge side, Dec 12,2020
Anyone driven it recently?
How are the conditions for a 4×4 with studded winter tires?
Thank you.
