July 4th Update

Posted by on July 6, 2021

Thanks to Chuck for the latest Hurley update:

Came over the Hurley from Bralorne via the east Hurley this morning. The wash out on the east Hurley is passable (although narrow) and water levels have dropped from last week which is good to see.

The main Hurley was in fair shape with some rough sections and then sections that were smoother with the entire route being very dusty. The roughest sections seem to be below the big hill on the Pemberton side as you go through the switch backs.

The Lillooet FSR was the smoothest section as you travel from the BRV to the Pemberton meadows.

A reminder that active hauling is ongoing. Travellers on the lower part of the Hurley FSR should be cautious and expect loaded and unloaded logging trucks travelling in both directions up to the Bridge Main FSR turnoff.

Does anyone know any further updates or if 2WD is possible still?

See the comment below from July 10th. That was the last update we received and no grading has been done since so expect potholes and washboard.

Anyone able to provide an more recent update? Due to pass through tomorrow, but I’ll take the long route if I don’t hear anything.

Came down yesterday (July 10) and I’d say the whole route is getting pretty rough especially the bottom section. Lots of younger dirt bikers blasting up for the weekend at top speed are hardly helping the situation.
