Thanks to Leah for the first update and photos of the season! The section at the top of the Pemberton switchbacks is rocky and like a dried up river bed but after the summit it’s smooth driving all the way to Gold Bridge.

Great to see it open, and in cracking condition. Gun Lake side from summit is mint. There are several potholes 3km toward Gun from Semaphore, but there is one monster there that will swallow an F150! You can’t avoid it and if you hit hard you’re gonna cause some damage. Other than that as I say great drive, wonderful to be back on it and thanks for all the hard work with the website and to the guys doing the hard work up there.
Made the drive today, May 21! The road surface is no longer white at the top, but brown and quite soft. No issues though. This was our first time and I will never forget it! Can’t wait to come back with my camera and a rental truck.
