June 2 Update

Posted by on June 3, 2023

Thanks to Chuck for the latest update.

Came down the Hurley this morning (June 2) from Bralorne via the E Hurley.

The East Hurley is rougher than usually due to the logging that’s taking place along it, but the sight lines have improved due to the same clearing trees and brush along the way. Once you get to the main Hurley by the steel bridge, the drive improves heading out (for the most part) across the middle portion with the exception of pot holes and wash boards from time to time.

Things start getting rougher near the summit with a couple of large pot holes and ruts as reported earlier. The big hill going down is a littler rougher than last time I travel the Hurley but better than the summit area. The worst part (as usual) seems to be the switch backs below the big hill. Its pretty rough with lots of exposed rock and washboards. It could really do with some work in this area at least.

The Lillooet FSR is the best section of the entire portion that I traveled.
