Thanks to Jim Blair the latest photo and to Sal Demare for this update: On Wednesday morning October 22, I travelled over the Hurley to go to Pemberton. The road is in reasonable shape, but potholes are developing on some areas, especially in the mid section. No snow on the roadbed with some snow still on the side of the road at the summit, as per picture. The Lillooet River FSR has seen grading since my last trip over it two weeks ago, but again potholes are developing on it also.
If you choose to drive the Hurley at this time of the year be prepared to experience all kinds of weather and winter driving conditions. Winter driving skills, 4×4, chains and good snow tires are essential for travel. A survival/safety kit are good things to carry in your truck. Conditions can change fast at anytime up there with the fluctuating temperatures & weather. Current conditions may not be reported on this site. Have a safe drive.

On Oct. 23 driving over the summit around 5:00 there was no snow on the Hurley itself. Over the summit was some snow on the sides. The temperature was around 5 degrees. State of the road is as good as its been in a long time.
