Thanks to Tracey Corning for the latest photo of the snow at the summit. Approx 8″. It was raining in Pemberton and snowing up top. It snowed to the valley on our side yesterday and last night so expect a snowy drive to Gold Bridge.
If you choose to drive the Hurley at this time of the year be prepared to experience all kinds of weather and winter driving conditions. Winter driving skills, 4×4, chains and good snow tires are essential for travel. A survival/safety kit are good things to carry in your truck. Conditions can change fast at anytime up there with the fluctuating temperatures & weather. Current conditions may not be reported on this site. Have a safe drive.

Hi Gary, You are confusing the Duffey Lake Road with the Hurley which is a forest service road that goes over a mountain pass. Great to hear you had a good drive!
I drove the Hurley yesterday from Mt. Currie to Lillooet and back. Bare road the entire way with a light snowfall on the outer edges by Joffre Lakes Park. As an aside, Google Maps was saying the 99 was closed north of Mt Currie (I am assuming where they had paved) but clearly it was open. Glad I didn’t take the 7 hour detour because the road was “closed” LoL
