Thanks to Sal for the latest update and photos: Drove to Pemberton this morning over the Hurley from Gun Lake. Snow on the side of the road started on the flatter straight stretch just before the climb to the summit. At the summit there was snow on the road, with wheel tracks that were frozen. Icy sections on both sides of the summit. They are doing a major ditching project on the Hurley climb which has started from the Lillooet FRS. Watch for the excavator and grader working.
If you choose to drive the Hurley at this time of the year be prepared to experience all kinds of weather and winter driving conditions. Winter driving skills, 4×4, chains and good snow tires are essential for travel. A survival/safety kit are good things to carry in your truck. Conditions can change fast at anytime up there with the fluctuating temperatures & weather. Current conditions may not be reported on this site. Have a safe drive.
