Thanks to Sal Demare for the latest update and photo. Came over the Hurley after a meeting in Pemberton today. Good drive with no issues. I have attached a picture from the north side of the pass. It was deeper at the pass with no spinning of tires on our four runner. No studs on the tires but new with lots of tread. The deeper snow starts just before the creek that is near the summit and ends around the flatter straight stretch on the north side, the rest does not have much snow at all. Tricky though if you meet up with another vehicle coming the other way! If it snows more, it may become impassable at the summit.
If you choose to drive the Hurley at this time of the year be prepared to experience all kinds of weather and winter driving conditions. Winter driving skills, 4×4, chains and good snow tires are essential for travel. A survival/safety kit are good things to carry in your truck. Conditions can change fast at anytime up there with the fluctuating temperatures & weather. Current conditions may not be reported on this site. Have a safe drive.
